I went to Salon West because I was trying a new hairstyle and wanted the expertise of a salon instead of a Cutting Crew sort of place, where the last time I tried something new, I had to go back and have them fix a bad cut. Salon West was the most affordable salon I could find, and they offered eyebrow waxing, so I was happy that I could get a wax and cut done at the same time without driving all around town. They scheduled me with Donna, who was nice and very knowledgeable about hair, and helped me fix a few problems I'd been having. I have naturally curly hair, but I told her (as I tell everyone I go to) that I ALWAYS style it straight. As usual, every stylist I go to styles my hair curly before I leave, in spite of the fact I hate it. Donna did too, but I didn't complain - I have come to expect this. And to be truthful, she got better, more even curl than anyone to date ever has. However, when I get home and style it the way I like it, I see that my layers are all messed up. I have big chunky layers on one side of my face, and little wispy layers on the other, which I could not have ever seen with my hair curly. They said they could take me today to fix it, after initially telling me I had no option to try a different stylist without charging me and that I would have to wait for my and Donna's schedule to match up. Hopefully they will get it right this time. Also, I have sensitive skin and the wax they used on my eyebrows broke me out. $50 (plus tip) at a salon for a haircut and a brow wax is a good deal, but I could have gone to my usual waxing place (Oasis Spa) and paid a little extra for a wax that didn't damage my skin, and then gone to Cutting Crew and saved money on my cut. I can't say my cut was of any better quality that I would have received there.

I enjoy tanning at Salon West, however it is almost impossible to be acknowledged to get a bed. They don?t allow appointments and it is always busy. They have a great special, $24.95/month for unlimited tanning, but the $ has to be debited from your checking account. I would recommend the beds, but the customer service is below average.

DONNA ROCKED MY HAIR. SHE WAS GREAT AND UNDERSTANDS WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT. SHE IS NOT AFREAD TO TELL ME WHAT IF SOMTHING WONT WORK OR LOOK GOOD. AND HAS THE HEALTH OF MY HAIR IN MIND. SHE IS VERY NICE AND I HAVE FOUND MY NEW LONG TERM HAIR STYLST

I was looking for a convenient and professional Salon that could take care of all I needed. Hair and tanning. This was it! I couldn't find their Website so to assist others I decided to post it here. Key into the address bar salonwest and then dot net. I have not been disappointed that I now go to Salon West for hair care, nails... skins care... pedicures and getting my tan for the season.

In looking for a new stylist I went to Salon West. I found far more than I was looking for. I toured the Salon and the desk lady was so open and nice. They almost do it all! Their stylists are award winning Redken colorists and stylists and I found the perfect one for me. Their tanning facility if awesome and priced just right. Their staff made me feel right at home and were very knowledgeable. I recommend you take a tour too and get your appointment.
